Usage - Superlatives
We use
SUBJECT > everyNOUN SUBJECT = #1
Grammar - ADJECTIVES with 1 syllable
For 1 syllable
SUBJ. + BE+ the+ ADJ. -est + CATEGORYtall →tall est Mount Everest is thetall est mountain.
Grammar - Consonant -Vowel -Consonant
If the
- 1 syllable with
C V C sounds: b i g →b i ggest - The elephant is the
b i ggest land animal.
Grammar - 2 Syllables Ending in "-y"
We change
- friendl
y → friendliest - She is the friendli
est girl.
Grammar - 2 /3 /... Syllables Not Ending in "-y"
For other
SUBJ. + BE+ the+ most + ADJ. ...most in - te - lli - gent The raven is themost intelligent animal.
