The zero conditional is for usual or repeated actions and facts. It uses two clauses in the present simple tense.

Grammar - The Zero Conditional

The dependent clause can come before or after the main clause.

  • When/If + DEPENDENT CLAUSE + , + MAIN
  • When/If + PRES. SIMP. + , + PRES. SIMP.
  • MAIN CLAUSE + when/if + DEPENDENT
  • PRES. SIMP. + when/if + PRES. SIMP.
