Enjoying Activities: like + VERB


Usage - like + VERB

We use like to say that we think that an activity is enjoyable.

  • An ACTIVITY is enjoyable

Grammar - like + VERB

We can use the gerund for the activity.

We sometimes use to and the infinitive for the activity.

  • SUBJ. + like/likes + INFINITIVE-ing
  • I like swimming.
  • SUBJ. + like/likes + to + INFINITIVE
  • She likes to swim all day.
