Different Uses of "like"
Similarities ( be like / look like / smell like etc.)
We use be like to say a thing is similar to another thing:

A cup | is | like | a glass. |
A zebra | is | like | a horse. |
A mouse | is | like | a rat. |
A guesthouse | is | like | a hotel. |
We can also use a verb with like to say a thing is similar to another thing:

A ukulele | sounds | like | a guitar. |
