El uso - Conjunciones: when/while

Podemos usar when con la cláusula en pasado simple o para la cláusula en pasado continuo.

Solo podemos usar while con la cláusula en pasado continuo.

  • when + PAST SIMP./PAST CON.
  • When she arrived, I was working.
  • She arrived when I was working.
  • while + PAST CON.
  • She arrived while I was working.

Ejemplos - Pretérito Continuo con when

I was sleepingwhenhe called.
I was workingwhenshe arrived.

PAST CONTINUOUSwhilePAST CON.

El uso - Conjunciones: so/because/until

Usamos so para el resultado. Usamos because para la razón.

Usamos until para el período de tiempo antes de que algo termine.

  • REASON + so + RESULT
  • I was tired so I went to bed.
  • RESULT + because + REASON
  • I ate some food because I was hungry.
  • ... until IT ENDS
  • I slept until my alarm woke me up.

Ejemplos - Pasado Simple con so
