There is  & There are

Для единственного числа существительных мы используем there is, а для множественного числа существительных мы используем there are.

• There is + SINGULAR + PREP. + PLACE
• There is + ЕДИНСТВЕННОЕ ЧИСЛО + ПРЕДЛОГ + МЕСТО
• There is a bird on the roof.
• There are + PLURAL + PREP. + PLACE
• There are + МНОЖЕСТВЕННОЕ ЧИСЛО + ПРЕДЛОГ + МЕСТО
• There are eggs in the fridge.
• Q. + BE + there ... ?
• What is there in the fridge?
• There are carrots in the fridge.
• BE + there ... ? ➤ Yes, + there + BE
• Is there a bird on the roof?
• Yes, there is.
• BE + there ... ? ➤ No, + there + NEG. BE
• Are there lemons in the fridge?
• No, there aren't.
