Time Phrases: Past
We use the past simple tense for actions completed in the past.

in + the morning/the afternoon/the eveningin + MONTH (January /February /... )in + 月 in + YEAR (2005 /2010 /... )in + 年 in + SEASON (summer /winter /... )in + 季節 例 - in + 時間表現ACTIVITY in TIME PHRASE I walked the dog in the morning. He started in September .We went in 2010 .It snowed in spring .

last + DAY (Monday )/week/month/...last + 曜日 例 - last + 時間表現ACTIVITY last TIME PHRASE I went to the gym last Wednesday .He came last week. They started last month. We saw him last year. I watched it last night.
