受動態: 過去形

The Passive Voice: Past Simple Tense


英語文法 - 過去形の受動態

受動態では、動詞 be と 過去分詞 (V3) を使用します。過去において、be は was と were の形を持っています。

  • BE → was/were
  • SUBJECT + was/were + V3 + by + OBJECT
  • Gravity was discovered by Newton.
  • SUBJECT + was/were + V3 + PREPOSITION ...
  • Pluto was discovered in 1930.

例 - 過去形の受動態

SUBJ.BE + V3byOBJ. (passive)
Harry Potterwas writtenbyJK Rowling.
The motorcarwas inventedbyKarl Benz.
The dinosaurswere killedbya comet.

⚠ 注意！

受動態では、動詞 be は、時制 の能動態における be と同じ形になります。

  • BE changes to its form in any tense:
  • are/are/is + being + V3 (PRES. CON.)
  • was/were + being + V3 (PAST CON.)
  • have/has + been + V3 (PRES. PERFECT)
  • will + be + V3 (FUTURE)

例 - さまざまな時制の受動態

SUBJ.BE + V3byOBJ.
Heis being testedbythe examiner.
Theywere being watchedbythe police.
Ihave been promotedbymy boss.
Hewill be arrestedbythe police.
