Nous utilisons l'auxiliaire did avec not pour former les négations.

Nous contractons généralement la négation did not en didn't.

SUBJECT + NEG. AUX. + INF.
SUJET + AUXILIAIRE NÉGATIVE + INFINITIF
did not → didn't
I/You/He/She/It/We/They + didn't + INF.
I didn't work yesteday.
She didn't go to the bank.

Use the INFINITIVE for NEGATIVES.

Don’t use didn't with be.
