Wir verwenden das Hilfsverb did mit not, um Verneinungen zu bilden.

Wir ziehen das Negative did not normalerweise zu didn't zusammen.

SUBJECT + NEG. AUX. + INF.
SUBJEKT + HILFSVERB NEGATIV + INFINITIV
did not → didn't
I/You/He/She/It/We/They + didn't + INF.
I didn't work yesteday.
She didn't go to the bank.

Use the INFINITIVE for NEGATIVES.
I didn't played yesterday. ✘

Don’t use didn't with be.
He didn't be OK. ✘
He wasn't OK. ✔
